TV evangelist Pat Robertson, yesterday urged the assassination of Venezuelan President, Hugo Chavez [link1 link 2], because, a) "it's a whole lot cheaper than starting a war" and b) "this is a dangerous enemy to our south, controlling a huge pool of oil, that could hurt us very badly." I guess Pat's feeling the pinch in the old gas tank [doggone those Rolls, eh?, not very fuel efficient]. This is not the first time he has urged the US to kill someone - it's a hallmark of his foreign policy. Fortunately however the televeangelist also has some helpful tips on weight loss through his recent publications: Pat's Weight Loss Challenge, Age-Defying Antioxidants, Age-Defying Protein Shake and, sure to be a favorite, Age-Defying Protein Pancakes available on the 700 Club's website here. Would Jesus have the Protein Shake before or after murdering a foreign head of state? Personally I think W. should be glad Jesus isn't into assassinating "dangerous" heads of state.
Dude, you have this nailed. I was wondering the same thing...in fact, I was wondering when CBN was going to start the "WWJA" bracelets and bumper sticker line..."who would Jesus assassinate?" paraphenalia would sell like hotcakes and give CBN a new influx of cash to keep its vital ministry going! Mm...what will that Pat R. think of next? Imagine how good his comments are going to boost the image of Christianity in our culture!
