5 things

It's childish, I know, yet for some reason irresistible.  Like passing notes in junior high.  I've been tagged by Jonny, for '5 things your probably didn't know about me', so here goes:

1. I once started my cowboy boot on fire.  I was about 16 and a bunch of us were sleeping out by a campfire on the May longweekend, and as i slept the log near my right foot slowly burned until my boot caught fire, but the boot was too tight to pull off so i had to hop to the lake to put it out. I repeated the same word over and over as I hopped.
2. The worst liquor I've tasted was real Kentucky moonshine.  We were running a house of friendship  on Kentucky Hill [Jellico, TN] - about half way between Mud Creek Holler & Hoot Owl Holler.  Someone brought the hooch down from their still on the Hill.  It was real bad. It went down, exploded, came up exploded, went down again.  My inner being was forever altered.
3. I once heard the angels sing with my cousin Donald.  Well they didn't sing with my cousin, we both heard them sing.  It was late in the season and no other cottagers were down at Otter Falls and went to the outhouse late at night and there was the most remarkable sound., all tinkly but melodic.  Wierd.  We were maybe 10 years old.  We were sure it was angels.
4. My first spiritual experience was listening to Janis Joplin sing 'Cry Baby' in Winnipeg at the Festival Express in 1970 - and that exact performance is caught on tape on the video Festival Express.
5. I once went to the emergency room at the hospital because I had a taco chip caught in my esophagus.  It dissolved seconds before the physician examined me.  My family calls this the terrible taco chip incident.  It was followed exactly one week later by the terrible spray glue incident. . .
